Khama Rhino Sanctuary

On Sunday morning we all got up early and drive to Khama rhino sanctuary. We tried to get into a chalet and go on Sat put they said they didn't have any available. We ended up having to take 2 cars and when we got there the white car couldn't drive around in the park so we had to all squeeze into th truck. It was very tight, Sonja and Amos had to share the front seat. it was cold and misting. Amos ended up getting sick. We drove around for about 4 hours, and didn't see any rhino! only their poop. I just don't know why I can't ever see the rhino, I just don't get it!

Sat afternoon at Mokolodi

Sat after work Jackie, Sonja and I went to Mokolodi for a drive. No rhinos! Those rhino's just like to hide from me!

A long week

We had such a long week of work. 11 hour days and 5 hours on Sat. The 3 of us girls went out to Primis and had dinner and a delicious Amarula drink blended with ice cream......yum!

Gaborone Game Reserve

After we got Sonja into the apartment we took her for a quick afternoon drive in the Gabs Game REserve. We say Steenbok, Kudu, Impala, Wartog, Zebra, Ostrich, Rock Hyrax, Vervet monkies and a bunch of birds.

A new arrival

Sonja finally arrived after 8 hour delay in Atlanta and getting stuck in Jo'burg over night. She got here on Sunday afternoon. Poor thing has to work 11 hours the next day after all that.

It's a Holiday, Mokolodi

Unfortunately the holiday was on a Thursday so we couldn't take advantage of a long weekend. We had to work on Friday and Saturday but oh well. So we drove around Mokolodi for about 5 hours. At least we had a day off!
