Pizza at the apartment for my last night

For my last night in Gabs, a few of the guys came over and we ordered pizza and beer. A couple of them were on a break from drinking so they had Whispers, the most delicious juice ever and Gatorade. They stayed for awhile then I had to finish packing. What a chore. I bought quite a few things this year and Nha had already brought stuff home for me. The wood rhino ended up having to stay there. I was up late and then had to get up early to finish packing and finish cleaning the bathroom and floor. I made it to work on time though.

Last dinner at Rodizio

For my last dinner out in Gabs I decided to go to Rodizio. I think it was my favorite restaurant this year besides Nando's but that is more like fast food. I of course had a peach mojito and malva pudding or desert. I went with Claudia, Stephen, Lee and Karen, the regular Rodizio crew. I can't wait to go back and have more malva!

Mon-Thurs Pie City

After having Pie City on Sat, all I could do was think of having more. I only had a few more days left in Botswana so I decided to go to Pie City in BBS every day for lunch before I left. Amos went with me the 1st and last day and Bushe went Tues and Wed. Karen, Lee and Stephen came along too. Everyone liked the pies!

Phaphatah's

Everyone knows I am the biggest germaphob. I don't think anyone who knows me would believe I was eating bread out of a trunck. At morning tea time they would come to the technology park and sell phaphatah' and fat bread out of the back of their car. There would be a big crowd of people trying to get the bread. It would be crazy at times. But it was well worth it, they are so good. The phaphatah's are the flat round breads and the fat breads are like a doughnut. They rae greasy but sooo good. I like them both but after being sick I stuck with the phaphatahs and no, I didnt get sick from eating the bread.

Sunday night, my last Thai dinner from Suwanne

My last Thai dinner from Suwanne, how sad. It was delicious as always. My last weekend in Gabs was packed full of fun, delicious food and wonderful people. I will be sad to leave but I am sure I will be back again.

My last Sunday in Gabs

On my last Sunday in Gabs, I took Suwanne, Karen, Claudia, Takao and Koichi to see some of gthe sights in town they had never seen. 1st we went to the Matsieng footprints. It was so nice and peaceful after the rain. There wasn't anyone there to give them the talk about the place so we just hung around for awhile and took some pictures. I man came and collected water from one of the holes while we where there.
After the footprints we went to the 3 Dikosi Monument over by Squaremart. Luckily, Samual was there to give them the tour. He was there all the times I went last year and he does a really good job. I just hung out taking pictures since I had heard it so many times.
Then we went to the Sir Sereste Kharma statue near the Parlment building which were we got in trouble for taking pitures of the Parliment building.
After that we went to the Main Mall to see if the one vendor was there so I could get a bracelet. We were also going to go to Pie City but everthing closes early on Sunday so that was a no go. We ended up going to KFC.
